Central Field Loss Care Across Disciplines: Examining Variability and Exploring a Draft Framework

The virtual group education session will begin at 6:00 PM Central Time.

Collaborative-CE: Virtual Small Groups for Practice, Partnership, and Progress is a quarterly interactive continuing education series for professionals in blindness, low vision, vision rehabilitation, and related fields.

Rather than a lecture-based webinar, each Collaborative-CE session convenes a small, facilitated virtual group around a focused topic, current practice gap, challenging case, emerging idea, or shared opportunity. Participants exchange perspectives, examine what is working in different settings, identify barriers, and explore practical approaches that can strengthen services and outcomes.

Sessions are designed for meaningful interactive and interdisciplinary dialogue among professionals such as optometrists, ophthalmologists, occupational therapists, orientation and mobility specialists, vision rehabilitation therapists, teachers of students with visual impairments, rehabilitation counselors, researchers, educators, administrators, and other professionals serving people who are blind or have low vision.

Each session emphasizes three outcomes:

• Practice: Participants explore practical strategies, tools, workflows, and approaches relevant to their day-to-day work.
• Partnership: Participants learn from colleagues across disciplines and settings, build professional connections, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
• Progress: Each group works toward meaningful next steps, which may include a draft resource, a clinical workflow, a decision-support tool, practice recommendations, a future workgroup, or another tangible outcome.

Clinically relevant, evidence-based education that addresses practice gaps, improves care and patient outcomes.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENTS

Accreditation for continuing education is provided by Envision University® 

This interactive distance learning (webinar), live education event by Envision University has applied for 2 hours/credits through COPE, AOTA and ACVREP. The cost for this 2 hour educational event is $60.*

COPE Activity Disclosure

Target Audience: Optometrists, Occupational Therapists, Ophthalmic Techs, Paraoptometric Assistants, Low Vision Therapists and Allied Health Professionals.

Instruction Level: Intermediate. Prerequisites: None. 

All participants are required to complete a signed “statement of attendance” form. After the program, all participants are asked to complete an online evaluation and/or short exam over the learning objectives, emailed from Envision University to retrieve a certificate of completion. 

Optometrists: Envision University is a COPE-approved administrator/provider of CE events. This event has been submitted to ARBO for a maximum of 2 COPE hours:  Synchronous Virtual COPE Event ID#TBD.

Occupational Therapists: Envision University is an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Approved Provider of professional development. Course approval ID15618; OT Service Delivery; Professional Issues and Foundational Knowledge categories. This Distance Learning-Interactive activity is offered at .2 CEUs, intermediate level. AOTA does not endorse specific course content, products, or clinical procedures.

ACVREP-Certified Professionals: Envision University is a Registered Provider of Professional Learning and Education for the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP). This course has been approved for 2 hours of ACVREP approved continuing education.

The cost for this 2 hour educational event is $60.

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations for Collaborative CE are accepted seven business days before the event. A cancellation fee of $10 will be deducted from refunded registrations. The deadline for cancelling and receiving a refund less the processing fee is seven business days before the event. No refunds will be issued after this date. Registration refund requests must be in writing. You can email your refund request to info@envisionuniversity.org. 

If the event is cancelled by Envision University due to unforeseen emergencies related to inclement weather or speaker illness or unforeseen circumstances, you are entitled to 100% refund of any registration costs or fees within ten business days of receipt of notice of cancellation.
